In this video, Nutri-Sport owner Ryan Irwin demonstrates glute/ham raises in the Full Potential studio. These are a great exercise to strengthen the hamstrings and glutes. It is very difficult -as you can tell in the video
, so having either a partner or holding a bar in front is helpful to get you out of the bottom position. You can see in this video that the unassisted reps are a little sloppy, but with help, a full range of motion is achieved on the second half of the set. A great aspect of this exercise is that it puts little pressure on the lower back. You can do these on leg day, 2-3 sets of 8-12.
